HNS Update: Personalized Default Name Selection
We’re pleased to announce a practical update to the Hedera Name Service. Users can now choose a preferred default name to associate with their Hedera account ID!
The latest version of the HNS SDK now enables ecosystem platforms to easily display your chosen name!

For users with multiple names held within a given account, this new functionality eliminates any confusion around the user’s preferred name.
How to Get Started
- Log In: Access your HNS dashboard using your existing Hedera account credentials.
2. Navigate to the “My Domains” section where you can manage your personalized naming settings.
3. Select Your Default Name: Locate the list of names associated with your account and click the check box beside the name you wish to set as default. Our system verifies your selection automatically.
4. The updated HNS SDK ensures your chosen name can be displayed on all supported platforms leveraging this most recent version.
